Poline lives in Jinja with her husband and nephew in a rented room. The family originally lived in Lalogi in Gulu district of northern Uganda. The family moved to Jinja in 1985 when the war started.Poline’s husband works at a local company in Jinja and earns about $35 per month. Poline sells a local juice type drink from a small hut and earns a small income. The family would like to return to Gulu someday as they have some land there but no house. |
