Kigenyi Vincent
  Age – 15 Grade – Secondary 4 (Boarding)

Kigenyi lives with his mother in a two room rented home in the Walukuba area of Jinga Uganda. His father died in 2003 after stepping on something. He is the youngest of 4 children in the family although his mother is also caring for 2 of his cousins who are orphaned.
His mother earns a small income from selling moon fish at the Masese Port. Kigenyi helps the family around the house by sweeping the compound and cooking. His home has no electricity.
He most recently attended Mother Kevin Secondary School. His favorite subjects are math, geography, and art. He hopes to be an engineer one day. He likes school and is a good student who is usually around 15 out of 180 students in his class. He also plays soccer, cricket, and participates in Boy Scouts. He sometimes gets sent home due to lack of school fees.
Annual sponsorship cost is $650 for secondary school fees, boarding, uniforms, and basic school supplies. This amount can be paid in one lump sum, by term at $217 per term, or monthly at $55 per month. Additional optional amounts up to $300 total may be contributed during the calendar year as a special family gift.
