Ronald lives with his mother, father, 4 other siblings and one other dependent child in a rented room. The children range in age from 11 to 18.
The family came here from Gulu 20 years ago because of the war. His mother works in an orphanage from 5pm to 8am every day which generates $45 of income per month. His father does occasional work if it is available.
Ronald attends secondary school in Jinja. He is usually in the top 20% of his class. He likes all science subjects and wants to be an engineer one day. He also enjoys volleyball.
He helps the family by sweeping the compound, cooking and fetching wood. He really hopes that someone will sponsor him so that he won’t be chased from school for lack of school fees. It is difficult for his parents to afford the school fees especially for secondary school.
Your sponsorship of Ronald will help keep him in school on a regular basis and help the family keep as many children in school as possible.
Annual sponsorship cost is $400 for secondary day school fees, uniforms and basic school supplies. This amount can be paid in one lump sum, by term at $133 per term, or monthly via credit card at $33 per month. Additional optional amounts up to $300 total may be contributed during the calendar year as a special family gift.
