Ways to Help

Purchase Bead and Handicraft Products

These items can be purchased from our website using Paypal. Click here to purchase items now. The women receive 100% of the profits from these sales. Each woman is encouraged to use 1/2 of the proceeds for current needs, save 1/4 for unexpected expenses, and use the remaining 1/4 for future plans whether it’s expanding her business, sending a child to the university, building a home, buying land, etc.

Host a Bead Benefit Party or Encourage Your Organization to Join our “Adopt 100 Necklaces” Program.

Each of these choices is a fun, exciting way for you and your friends, relatives, co-workers, organization or church members etc. to help the women beaders sell more of their beautiful beaded jewelry and cloth sling bag products. You can become part of their sales team to help them be more successful in their business. Click here to find out more about Bead Benefit Parties, or click here to read about our “Adopt 100 Necklaces” program.

Sponsor a Child

Please sponsor a child today and team up with one of the women beaders to help keep her child in school by paying for the school fees, uniform and supplies for this child. Annual sponsorship amounts range from $100 to $800. This represents a huge benefit to the beader’s family and represents another way to further support the beader’s efforts as she works at stabilizing her family’s financial situation through her business. Just click here to sponsor a child now.

Contribute Money for Our Programs

Financial contributions are key for us to be able to expand our program's needs. Currently the need far outweighs the available funds. Almost all fund-raising and administrative time is donated to the organization, so your contribution can be used almost entirely for direct program expenses. We are a 501(c)(3) organization, so contributions are tax deductible in the U.S. to the fullest extent of the law.

Volunteer in the U.S. or Uganda

Do you have a marketing, computer, financial, educational, jewelry, health or medical-related or agricultural background that would be useful to the women’s groups? Can you take at least two weeks or more time from your schedule to visit us in Uganda, or would you like to work from your home in the U.S.? Contact carol@outreachuganda.org to discuss your interests and availability.

"A journey can alter the heart forever... When we step into these other places, we may be given a precious gift: a moment or a series of moments that can galvanize and sustain our commitment long after we return home... A learning journey can create genuine connections and help to pull us out of our observer status and into our fully connected humanity." From book, What Can One Person Do?

Join our "Cause" on FaceBook and MySpace
If you are a Facebook or MySpace member, please join our Cause for Facebook, or Cause for MySpace. Ask all your friends to join you, and donate $5 to our Cause. By giving up one Starbucks coffee, or sodas at the movie just one time this year, you can feed an impoverished Ugandan family for three days.
