An Effective Toolbox of Nonprofit Programs to Fight Poverty
Our nonprofit programs focus on providing several different types of targeted help to the families and villages we work with. Studies show that a combination of help is more likely to succeed in helping a woman or family to rise above poverty rather than a single effort. So we seek to provide help in three different ways as needed:
- Income-generation
- Education and Training
- Community Empowerment
Our Nonprofit Programs Work Together So They Have More Impact
Community development efforts change for each location. In the Jinja area where land is scarce and many people live in dangerous slums, we aim at improving the women’s housing. In northern Uganda where land is plentiful, we work on improving the families’ access to education and health care. At both locations, we seek to help others provide spiritual programs for families. We also look at the different parts of what we do to make sure they all fit together.
