Lucy lives with her parents and siblings in Labworoyeng village located in northern Uganda. She is the oldest child born among 5 children.

Science is Lucy’s favorite subject at school. She really wants to become an accountant in the future so that she will be able to earn enough income to help her younger siblings. Lucy is a disciplined student and is doing well in her studies.

Lucy helps her family at home with farm work, fetching water and washing utensils. She enjoys telling stories and running. She is a talented athlete and does well in long races.

The annual scholarship for Lucy is $350 as a day student which provides her school fees, uniform, basic school supplies and mentoring by OU staff. This amount can be paid annually, by term at $117, or via monthly credit card payment of $29 per month.
