Lamara Angel lives with her mother and four siblings in the rural village of Agwata located in northern Uganda.  She is the 2nd born child among one brother and three sisters.

Lamara helps her mother with fetching firewood and helping with the family cooking.  Cabbage is her favorite dish to prepare.  Lamara likes to read, skip and play with her friends during her free time.  She enjoys teaching younger children how to play hopscotch and games.

Lamara’s favorite subject in school is Math.  She is working hard at school in the hopes of becoming a lawyer one day so that she can help justice to prevail among her village.  She is performing very well in school and is one of the top ranking students in the district.  Lamara is described as hardworking and respectful.

The annual sponsorship for Lamara is $700 to be split among 2 sponsors at $350 each which provides her tuition, room and board, and mentoring by OU staff. Lamara has one sponsor, but desperately needs a 2nd sponsor! This amount can be paid annually, by term at $117, or via monthly credit card payment of $29 per month.
