Rashel lives in a grass-thatched hut in the village of Paracele in northern Uganda with her parents, two siblings and two cousins. Rashel is the eldest child of three.

Math is Rashel’s favorite subject at school. One day, Rashel hopes to become a medical doctor so that she can treat and care for the sick.

At home Rashel helps with farm work, household chores and cooking. Beans are her favorite food. In her free time, Rashel likes debating and praying at church. Rashel is a humble and polite girl.

The annual scholarship cost is $740 which provides her tuition, room and board at school, and mentoring and coaching by OU staff. Rashel needs two sponsors to pay $370 each or one sponsor to pay $740. This amount can be paid annually, by term at $123 (or $246) per term or via monthly credit card payment of $31 (or $62) per month.
