Aloyo lives with her parents and siblings in a mud and grass thatched hut in Layamo village located in northern Uganda. She is the youngest among her 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Biology is Aloyo’s favorite subject at school. She is doing well in her studies. She is hoping to pursue a career in nursing in the future.

Aloyo enjoys helping her family with cooking and washing utensils. She also helps with the farm work. She enjoys chatting with friends and reading books in her free time. Aloyo is active and disciplined.

The annual scholarship for Esther to attend secondary school as a day student is $350 which provides her school fees, uniform, basic school supplies and mentoring by OU staff. This amount can be paid annually, by term at $117, or via monthly credit card payment of $29 per month.
