Linda is 18 years old and lives in the village of Agwata located in northern Uganda. She is the second born child out of 6 children of whom 2 are boys and 4 are girls.

At home she likes to fetch water and firewood, wash utensils, and smear the house with cow dung to beautify it. She also cooks food for the family. Her favorite dish to prepare is pasted peas with millet bread. In her free time, she enjoys playing games with her friends.

Linda’s favorite subject at school is science. She did very well (quite above average) on her recent year-end national exams. She really wants to become a nurse in the future so that she can treat the sick.

Linda has one sponsor, but desperately needs a 2nd sponsor! The annual sponsorship for Linda is $350 each ($700 among 2 sponsors) which provides her tuition, room and board, uniform, basic school supplies and mentoring by OU staff. This amount can be paid annually, by term at $117, or via monthly credit card payment of $29 per month.
