Agenorwot Susan is currently in her 2nd year at Gulu University. She grew up in the town of Kitgum located in northern Uganda where her mother currently lives. She is the fourth born of seven children, but only 2 of her siblings have survived. Her father passed away in 2008.

Susan goes home to help her mother with gardening and other household chores whenever she is able. She and her younger brother recently planted walnuts and maize for their mother. They also did a lot of weeding.

Susan is training to become a teacher and is currently a student teacher. She loves to interact with her students. She is currently teaching English literature to Secondary 5 students (11th grade) and English language to Secondary 3 students (9th grade). Susan enjoys writing and reading in her free time.

Annual scholarship cost is $800 to be split among 2 sponsors at $400 each. Susan has 1 sponsor but urgently needs a 2nd sponsor. The scholarship provides her university tuition and mentoring by OU staff. The $400 amount can be paid annually, by term at $133, or via monthly credit card payment of $33 per month.
