Nancy lives in a mud and grass-thatched hut in the village of Agwata in northern Uganda with her mother, stepfather and six siblings. Nancy is the fourth child of seven. Her parents are peasant farmers.

At school, Nancy’s favorite subject is math. She would like to become a math teacher in the future so she can use her math every day.

Nancy helps with farm work, cooking, washing utensils and fetching firewood and water. Nancy also helps take care of her siblings. In her free time, Nancy likes to read books and go to church choir practice. Nancy is a humble and respectful girl.

The annual scholarship cost is $740 which provides Nancy’s tuition, room and board at school, and mentoring and coaching by OU staff. She needs two sponsors to pay $370 each or one sponsor to pay $740. This amount can be paid annually, by term at $123 (or $246) per term or via monthly credit card payment of $31 (or $62) per month.
