Darren lives in a mud and grass thatched hut with his extended family in the village of Agwata located in northern Uganda.  He is the oldest child among 3 children and has 5 other siblings.  

English is Darren’s favorite subject at school.  He wants to be a policeman when he grows up so that he can help keep law and order in his village.  

Darren helps his family at home by sweeping the compound and washing his stockings and shoes.  In his free time, Darren enjoys pretending to be a policeman with toy guns he’s made out of pawpaw leaf stalks.  He also likes to make toy cars from local materials.  Darren is polite and he likes to study. 

Annual sponsorship cost is $325 for primary school fees, and basic school supplies. This amount can be paid annually, by term at $108 per term, or via monthly credit card payment of $27 per month.
