Esther lives with her parents and 4 siblings in the village of Mede Central village located in northern Uganda. She is the 3rd child born among 3 sisters and 1 brother.

English is Esther’s favorite subject at school. She is doing well in school and is hoping to someday become a lawyer.

Esther helps her family at home with washing the utensils, cooking, sweeping and fetching firewood. She enjoys playing with her friends and reading the bible or story books in her free time. She also enjoys taking care of her younger siblings. Esther is humble and disciplined.

The annual scholarship for Esther is $350 as a day student which provides her school fees, uniform, basic school supplies and mentoring by OU staff. This amount can be paid annually, by term at $117, or via monthly credit card payment of $29 per month.
