Mark lives in a grass-thatched hut in the village of Agwata in northern Uganda with his parents, one sibling and four male cousins. Mark is the eldest child of two.

Science is Mark’s favorite subject at school. Mark hopes to become a medical doctor in the future so that he can help others in need.

At home Mark helps with chores such as fetching water, washing clothes and sweeping the compound. In his free time, Mark likes playing football, writing essays and debating. Mark is a very social and active boy.

The annual scholarship cost is $740 which provides his tuition, room and board at school, and mentoring and coaching by OU staff. Mark needs two sponsors to pay $370 each or one sponsor to pay $740. This amount can be paid annually, by term at $123 (or $246) per term or via monthly credit card payment of $31 (or $62) per month.
