Modesta lives in a grass-thatched hut in the village of Agwata in northern Uganda. She is the youngest of two children and lives with her extended family of six other children at her grandmother’s home. She lives with her grandmother because her parents’ home is too far away from school.

At school, Modesta’s favorite subject is math. She would like to become a doctor in the future so she can treat and care for the sick.

Modesta helps her family at home by washing utensils and fetching water and firewood. In her free time, she skips rope and reads story books. Modesta is a social and respectful girl. She is also very playful.

Annual sponsorship cost is $360 for primary school fees, mentoring and coaching and basic school supplies. This amount can be paid annually, by term at $120 per term, or via monthly credit card payment of $30 per month.
